AKWA IBOM POLICE COMMISSIONER TRANSFERRED

The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Don Awunah, has been transferred out of the state.

It was learnt from top police sources that the transfer takes immediate effect.

Also transferred out of the state is Julian Onita, who was the OC Anti-Robbery.

He has been sent to Kogi State
Command.

No official reason has been given for their transfer but according to inside sources, the transfer may not be unconnected to the upsurge in crime in the state,
especially in Ukanafun LGA and their inability to contend it.

As a result of this posting, Awunah upon resumption will now lecture at Nigeria Police Academy, Kano State.
