Swansea are trying to sign £4million Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar

Swansea are trying to sign £4million Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar.

The Cameroon international, 25, has just a year left on his contract and is keen to play in the Premier League.

He said earlier this week: “I’m going to England, Swansea has a proposal. I do not want to miss it.

“I talked to my manager, I do not want to miss the offer Swansea offers.”

Aboubakar enjoyed an impressive loan spell in Turkey last season, helping Besiktas to their second consecutive
title with 12 goals.

In total he netted 18 times to alert Swansea, West Ham and Stoke.

He also starred for his country at the Africa Cup of Nations in January, coming off the bench to clinch
Cameroon’s first continental title in 15 years with the winner over Egypt.

He is now keen to work with Paul Clement at the Liberty Stadium.

Wolves, who have already broken their transfer record with the £15.8million signing of Porto starlet Ruben Neves, also want Aboubakar.

But he already has his heart set on going to Swansea.
