Buhari seeks Senate confirmation for 47 ambassadorial nominees
Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday forwarded a list of 47 ambassador-designates to the Senate for confirmation and approval.
Senate President Bukola Saraki read the letter containing the list of the ambassadorial nominees.
Buhari requested the Senate to approve the list at the shortest possible time.
Buhari said: “I have the honour to
forward the attached list of 47 career foreign service officers as
ambassador-designates for consideration and confirmation by the Senate
of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Copies of their curriculum vitae are
attached: It is my hope that this would receive the usual prompt
attention of the distinguished members of the Senate of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria.”
The nominees include: Obinna Chukwuemeka
Agbugba, Salisu Umoru, Inyang Udo-Inyang, Okeke Vivian Nwunaku, Liman
Munir, Edem Jane Ada, Mohammed Hassan Hassan, Martin Nyong Cobham, Janet
Omoleegho Olisa, Itegboje S. Sunday, Olatunde Adesesan and Lilian
Ijeukwu Onoh.
Others are: Manaja Tula Isa, Ngozi
Ukeje, Bello Kazaure Husseini, Enoch Pear Duchi, Garba Baba, Usman
Bakori Aliyu, Umar Zainab Salisu, Momoh Sheidu Omeiza, Kadiri Anyinla
Audu, Balogun Hakeem, Inusa Ahmed, Ibrahim Isah, Bankole Adegboyega
Adeoye and Ibidapo- Obe Oluwasegun.
The list also include Ogundero Sakirat,
Eric A. Bell-Gam, Atahiru Haliru, Rahmatu A.Dunama, Musa Saban Mamman,
Kabiru Bala, Adamu Onoe Shuaibu, D. A Agev, T.K Gongulong, Ibrahim
