BOOK OF PSALMS conclusion

By looking into the essence of thanksgiving.

The book of Psalms proves effective in
rendering thanks to God.

Thanksgiving is very essential in the life of every believer and indeed of any nation.

It is often said that one of the reasons why America is so blessed is due to the culture of thanksgiving that she inculcates into the fabric of her society.

Thanksgiving is honoured by God and this can be traced back to the book of Genesis.

Cain and Abel brought their thanks offering to God. '...And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering' Gen4:4. When you offer thanks unto God, it must be something worth while.

King David was said to be a man after Gods own heart.

He was quick to capture the essence and significance of thanksgiving.

He wrote '...neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing' 2Sam24:24.

God takes thanksgiving very seriously and He honours it accordingly.

It was recalled that after Jesus Christ
cleansed ten lepers, only one would return to render thanks unto God.

'Were there not ten cleansed? but
where are the nine?' Luke17:17. Every child of God must endeavour to seal up their blessings with thanksgiving
unto God.

Get into the habit of presenting your entire household before God regularly and giving thanks unto Him.

There is always a reason to thank God for. The gift of life is one good reason.

Count your blessings and name them one by one and it would surprise you what the Lord has done! There are many Psalms that are geared towards thanksgiving.

Psalms 92, 105 and 107 are great
Psalms. May I ask you to please pray that children of God will be motivated to render effective thanksgiving to God.

Pray that they will truly appreciate and thank God wholeheartedly.
