THE BOOK OF PSALMS part 5
We shall be looking at some of the Psalms
that are geared towards deliverance from the enemy.
It is important to note that the key to deliverance from the enemy is 'Trusting in God' and the 'Word'.
In order to gain full knowledge of the dimensions of the power which lies behind the use of Gods word, it is imperative to go to the rudimentary.
Understand that the mission of the
enemy lies in John10:10 'The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...'
as such, only the word of God guarantees effective deliverance from such formidable mandate.
The 'Word' is the 'invisible' that births the 'visible' The invisible is thus used to reduce the visible to zero since it births the visible.
It follows therefore that eternal things are the truth that is used to reduce or nullify the visible to zero.
Invariably, the truth is used to reduce facts to zero, since facts are generated from the visible! If you are able to grasp this concept, as comparative analysis and veto,we can subsequently adopt the same model used by Jesus Christ to defeat the enemy in Luke4:1-21.
Note that Jesus Christ did not engage in meaningless illogical dialogue with
the enemy. In each of the steps of the temptation, HE simply used the Word (the invisible) to effectively nullify
the temptations/attacks/hunger/covets etc(visible) to overcome. '
And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee...if thou therefore will worship me, all shall be thine.
And Jesus answered...it is written Thou
shall worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shall thou serve' Luke4:6-8. Jesus quoted from the Old Testament
in Ex20 and the devil flee! In order to achieve deliverance from the enemy, there is no greater weapon to use than
the Word of God, for the simple reason that it is the eternal truth that reduces and nullifies the visible to zero.
Let us now consider some key Psalms that are effective in deliverance from the enemy.
Note that the bible says that the enemy departed from Jesus Christ for a season.
So, every believer must intimate themselves constantly/ persistently with the Word.
It is thus recommended that you memorise certain Psalms in the bible because the enemy is always on duty! Psalms 91, 23 and143 are highly effective, memorise them and let your children recite them daily.
They are heartfelt pleas written by
Moses and David for deliverance from the enemies that threatened to overwhelm them.
Other powerful ones are Psalms 54-86, 120, 140 etc.
Endeavour to identify the ones that are the best expression of your soul's desire.
There is power in the word of God. May I ask you to please pray that children of God will utilise the awesome power in the word of God.
Pray that they will place theirbtrust in Gods word. '
FOR THE SCRIPTURES SAITH,
WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED' Rom10:11. God bless you all.
