SEXUAL ILLUSION EPISODE 2
By Bassey Ekpaha Silver
"Mama I am not continuing with that marriage! There is no way I am going back to Peter's house.
He just can't stay a minute without sex; that's all we do morning, afternoon and night aba! I enter the rest room he runs
after me, kitchen, sitting room, everywhere in the house Peter follows me around.
If I continue there, I will one day slump and die " Pastor Kate sat down quietly in her counselling office listening to Kate's frustrating story.
Observing the frustration in her tone, she asked casually "what will you say to people when asked why you divorce
your husband ?" "sexual over drive, he loves sex too much" Esther answered with all amount of seriousness.
"can you make this your divorce a little bit biblical? Like weigh it on the scale of the scriptures" Esther sat down quietly, but confused.
Pastor Kate knew she had hit her
really hard, although it wasn't intentional, but she knew that was the best way to get her calm and settled.
" I understand the frustration in your heart especially since you were married a virgin, but I also want you to know that God has provision for this challenge.
This problem is not new or impossible in God's sight. It doesn't even take
him by surprise.
So as a christian, divorce shouldn't be
an alternative at all; It isn't biblical.
Esther knew Pastor Kate will always have the right words for her, she was
simply expressing her frustration and anger over Peter's unease sex drive.
The marriage between Peter and Kate
is just two weeks old yet it seems it is at the verge of collapsing.
Trouble started during first week of honey moon, Peter demanded too much time during sex and Esther became uncomfortable.
They spent little time in prayers like they did during courtship. Rather than the
duet discussing it over, Esther had call out wrongly on Peter saying she doubts if Peter was truly born again.
The argument had led to a feud so they were both keeping silence on each other. "Esther before anything I want you both to go and talk this issue over" Pastor Kate continued.
"but we are not on talking terms" Esther
argued. "then go back and start talking. You see, the things we complain about in our marriage are the exact reasons why God puts us in that marriage.
He loves sex too much, yea, but you are there to help him out. God knew he has that weakness so he paired you both. He
has lost focus in prayers then you got to help him get back on his knees.
He acts like a toddler when he is
experiencing urge, you help her him. Marriage it's another school, there is always something to complain about, but those complains are new lessons we should
learn and stay married.
Meanwhile I want to see the both of you tomorrow" Pastor Kate concluded.
