ORON UNION, UYO BRANCH EMPOWERS MEMBERS

As part of efforts to make life more meaningful for its members, Oron Union, Uyo Branch has concluded plans to empower some of its members with financial grants to start or expand their businesses.

According to the Branch President, Dr. Barr. Asuquo Anwana, the empowerment scheme will be in two parts.

The first will be financial grants for business start up or upgrade by members while the second will be study grants
to some student members studying in tertiary institutions of learning within Uyo.

According to the former Chairman, Udung Uko Local Government Council, the grants will be presented to
beneficiaries on Sunday 6th August, 2017 on Oro Land, Information Drive, Uyo during August's edition of the
Union's monthly meeting at 3pm Prompt.

The President hereby invites Oro people resident in Uyo and its environs to witness the historic event.
