AKSG Receives Fire -Fighting Trucks From Federal Fire Service

The Federal Fire Service(FFS) has presented two fire -fighting trucks to the Akwa Ibom State Government to equip the men of the State fire service for the protection of lives and property of Nigerians.

Receiving the equipment at Government House, Uyo, today,  Governor Udom Emmanuel thanked the Federal Fire Service for their kind gesture, assuring that the State Government would pay attention to the welfare of personnel of the State fire service.

Governor Emmanuel, who was represented by Secretary to the State Government, Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem,  suggested different ways the service could response quickly to the fire incidents.

Presenting the trucks, the South -South Zonal Coordinator of the Service, DCF Chika Njoku,said the equipment was one of the ways of expressing their appreciation to the Akwa Ibom State Government for the hospitality shown to the Service Controller General, Engr Garba Anebi and his team, when they visited the state, recently.
