BOOK OF PSALMS part 3

we look at some of the vital Psalms that the believer needs to acquaint himself with.

Note that all of the Psalms are indispensable as such,It is pivotal that the
believer maintains the word of God on 'standby' mode, in readiness for action when necessary. '

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places' Eph6:12.

The issue is not 'If' but 'when' you need to mobilise your garrison (Eph6:13-18) in defence against the arson of attack from the enemy.

Understand that It is only the word of God that offers effective solution against the evil devices/advance of the enemy.

The word of God is the only effective weapon that the believer can use to combat and counteract the aggression of the enemy. '

The word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart'
Heb4:12.

Within the bible lies the living, inspired,
infallible and inerrant word of God. The book of Psalms is an excellent 'manual' for every believer to utilise in times
of need.

As a general rule,it is a good idea to adopt a procedure of Praise and Worship before presenting your requests to God.

Praising and worshipping God is very
vital in the life of every believer.

We were created to have transcended passion for Christ and this is effectively
expressed through our worship. In this lesson, we shall deliberate on certain Psalms that offers excellent models
for praise.

The dominant theme in the book of Psalms besides trusting in God is praising and rejoicing in God.

King David unravels the mystery of Praise in ways that transcends human logic by extrapolating the very fibre of
worship in a spiritual dimension.

There are a number of Psalms that expresses the mode of praise in this measure.

Psalms 95-150 are specifically geared towards praising God. Every child of God must be familiar with these Psalms and in time,begin to identify ones that are in
rhythm with their soul's desires.

One of the Psalms of David that expresses deep and heartfelt praise to God in a profound way is Psalm 104.

It is a beautifully expressed Psalm that captures the essence and greatness of God by encapsulating His deity in ways that exhilarates the supremacy of God! Others include Psalms 96,100, 117,
146 etc.

Reading the Psalms on daily basis is a good idea and a means of making it ultimately easy to memorise.

May I ask you to please pray that children of God will continually offer heartfelt praises to God.

Pray that they will appreciate the fact that God truly deserves all of our
praise. '

OH THAT MEN WOULD PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS GOODNESS, AND FOR HIS WONDERFUL WORKS TO THE CHILDREN OF MEN!' Psalm107:31.
