UDUNG UKO CHAPTER PDP STAND AGOG FOR ENGINEER BEN EDENSETING

Also visits youths and royal fathers.
It was a day to make out with as OsuiniAbazi Campaign Organization formally presented its Principal Engr. Etim (Ben) Edenseting (MNSChE, MNSE) to ward 7 and Udung Uko chapter Executives of the People’s
Democratic Party (PDP) respectively.

The train’s first stop was Edikor Eyibia ward 7, where it was welcomed by a large and overwhelming crowd.

While receiving the guests, the ward chairman Elder Esteem Ebiekpe flanked by his entire Executive members (who
were duly recognized), thanked God for a clear weather, asserting that the clemency of the weather wouldn’t be
unconnected with the fact that a true and worthy son of the soil had come to do what tradition demands in his quest for a political office.

Presenting the aspirant to the ward executives, the Director General of OsuiniAbazi Campaign Organization
Pastor Clement Okon (BBC) took time to introduce members of the organization and urged for total support
for Engr. Edenseting whom he described as “A Perfect Product”.

In his worlds, he asserted that for the minority to measure up with the majority who are of course numerically advantaged, they must always bring out the best to represent them. He concluded by stating both emphatically and authoritatively that to the best of his
knowledge, Engr. Edenseting stands out the best among equals.

Present all the way from Uyo, the former secretary of Itu Local Government Area, Nsubom Aniefiok Usanga when given the chance to address the crowd, kick started
with the statement, “Edikor behold thy son”. As he continued, he reminded the people of ward 7 why they should go for the best, stating that Engr. Ben
Edenseting, the man he had known right from their University days has what it takes in terms of knowledge, intelligence, capacity, confidence and connection to move Udung Uko to a desired standard.

Nsubom Usanga concluded by promising the people that he will personally hold Engr. Edenseting to account if he fails to make good on any of his campaign blueprints. He however, at the same time assured the crowd that Udung Uko Local
Government Area is in for the better with Ben Edenseting at the saddle.

The gathering which also boasted in attendance the likes of Hon Sunday Odokwo, Comrade Okon Ekpo Edenseting, Senior consultant on works to Akwa Ibom State government, Engr. Deji, Managing Director of Brave Heart farms, Engr. Ukeme Nya, Mr. Peter
Isangedighi, former secretary PDP Youth Vanguard, Comrade Patrick Akpan, wife of the chairmanship hopeful, Surveyor Christiana Edenseting, Youth Activist Engr. Godwin Clement (Ashore), Comrade Godwin Okponung jr., Pastor Marvin Antak, Comrade Ita Owokere, Comrade Saviour Edenseting, Comrade Cyril Owowo, Comrade S. Usoh, Comrade Emmanuel Raymond, ward 7 consensus Councillorship Candidate Mr.
Etim Obung and others too numerous to mention, was drawn to a close with the Principal, Engr. Ben Edenseting taking the floor.

In his speech, he earnestly thanked the people of ward 7 for coming out enmass to give him support. After tendering what tradition demands to the ward executives, went further to as well present a copy of a booklet which contains his blueprints to the people.

He reiterated his stance of drawing development in education, skill acquisition, security, health, man
power etc to Udung Uko LGA.

The meeting finally ended with the ward chairman giving his response by assuring Engr. Edenseting that the ward executives will assist in every capacity to make sure the best candidate emerges in Udung Uko. He then urged the principal to go on with campaigns and consultations while expecting a positive result.

Vote of thanks and parting prayer was made by one of the ward executive members.

The train did also stopped over at the palace of the village head of Edikor Eyibia, Chief Effiong Jonathan Otoboso to pay him due homage.

The traditional ruler, while speaking with Engr. Edenseting, bemoaned the fact that the area seems to be neglected in the affairs of the State but was at the same time consoled that God had brought
a man he totally has confidence on to salvage the people of Udung Uko from their present predicament.

He prayed God’s blessing and guidance upon Engr. Edenseting and also assured him of his full support in his ambition.

On his way out, Engr. Edenseting stopped over and had a good time with the youths of Eyofin ward 3 (Ukuku Udung) where they reiterated their total support to him.

Speaking on behalf of the youths present, the national president of Ukuku Udung after pouring encomium on the
principal reassured him of their total support, stating that he is the only one who has the wherewithal to take
Udung Uko to the next level.

Later in the evening, the train met with the Udung Uko chapter executive of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who gathered at the residence of the political
leader of Udug Uko LGA, Hon Mrs Kenim Onofiok. The meeting which was presided over by the chapter chairman of the party, Hon Ita Eyo (AKA Whisper)
started with an opening prayer followed by a session of introduction and then presentation of consultation items
and the aspirant.

The chairmanship hopeful who was
accompanied by his wife after being introduced by the Director General of Osuini Abazi campaign organization
took time to thank the chapter executives for making out time for him and assured them that he will continually
align with them even after he is sworn in.

He used the opportunity to state his blueprints. He also handed a copy of a booklet containing his intended projects to the chapter chairman. He intimated everyone present of his plans for Udung Uko and promised the teaming youths
and women of his readiness to carry everyone along.

The session which was quite brief was brought to a close with a prayer which was offered by Evangelist Atim Edubio.

Next, the train paid a deserving homage to the paramount Ruler-elect of Udung Uko Local Government Area; His Royal Majesty, Chief Bassey Etim Edet. While
with him, the monarch took time to correct wrong impressions about politics and also advised on the way aspirants should carry themselves. The principal, Engr. Ben Edenseting who was officially presented to His Royal majesty by Pastor Clement Okon, also seized the opportunity to interact with Chief Bassey Etim Edet who coincidentally happens to be a former chairman of Udung Uko council.

While presenting the monarch with a
booklet containing his blueprints, Engr. Edenseting also orally mentioned some of the projects he will execute when he emerges. Chief Edet however picked keen interest on the establishment of a monotechnic for skill acquisition,
pointing out that that alone will change the face of Udung Uko LGA and the fortune of its people.

The reunion was brought to a close with many words of advice to the teaming youths who accompanied the
principal during the visit.
