Udung Uko Council boss take care of accident victims

The Udung-Uko Council boss and his dear wife, Hon. (Elder) & Mrs. Okon Esin Oku, yesterday visited the victims of Monday's accident involving the women of Uboro-Isong-Inyang Community in Udung-Uko Local Government Area. The women who sustained various degree of injuries and numbered about 18 were returning from the Eket Senatorial District PDP Mega Rally at ONNA when the ugly  incident occurred at the Head Bridge linking Oyoku-Ibighi and Uya-Oro Communities along Oron-Eket road in Oro-Nation.

Hon. Oku who on behalf of the Government and the good people of Udung-Uko LGA offered special prayer for the quick recovery of the victims, also paid an initial deposit of over Two Hundred Thousand Naira (200,000=) for their treatment, while pledging to ensure they receive the best medical care possible.

Speaking with friends and relatives of the victims, Hon. Oku stated, "I am deeply touched and saddened by this unfortunate incident. However, much as I do not pray for such, but let me assure you people of my determination and readiness to foot the bill and other related expenses to the last kobo".

Indeed, this is a rare display of COMPASSION & CAPACITY.
