2019: FEDERAL MIGHT SHALL MEET ALMIGHTY MIGHT IN A'IBOM - Citizens

The plan by the All Progressive Congress APC, to usurp power in the state through federal might, come 2019 general elections, is likely to hit a rock, as Akwa Ibom people vowed to invoke the Almighty GOD, 'Abasi Ibom', of whom, Akwa Ibom state is name after, to counter APC's proposal, insisting that, man proposes, but God disposes.

Many, who spoke with these reporter across the three senatorial districts of the state, during a poll survey were of single opinion. Their opinion was hinged on the outstanding superior performance of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP-led government in the state, and have accused APC-led government of throwing Nigerians into untold hardship with its 'chain' policies

They said they were ready to confront such an attempt by seeking the face of the Almighty God. They have vowed to mobilise religious organizations, political stakeholders, opinion leaders, royal fathers and mothers, elder statesmen, women groups, youths groups, trade unions and student groups across the state to pray and rescind the electoral fraud and violence, as planned by APC power mongers, come 2019 general elections in the state.

According to them; "let the APC's principalities in the state remember that, where one person’s power end, that is where God's power begins". They urged every Akwa Ibom son and daughter to come, let's work together and build Akwa Ibom of their dream, and warned citizens and residents in the state against allowing themselves to be bought into mortgaging Akwa Ibom treasure by few selfish politicians.

They have insisted that, any attempt to usurp power in the state by the ruling party through federal might during the forth coming elections would be considered an act that is at variance with democratic principle, and will not be allowed to happen in Akwa Ibom. “Any individual, who tries to threaten the peaceful conduct of election in Akwa Ibom, come 2019 will have the Almighty God to contend with,” they warned.

They have described APC power mongers, who are planning the electoral fraud as “miscreants,". According to them, such act is not in tandem with Nigerian Electoral Act. They however, advised Akwa Ibom people to ignore such threat, and make sure that they all come out en mass and vote their party PDP without fear of any attack, saying that heavenly security agencies will be readily everywhere to contend with anyone attempting to threaten the peace enjoyed in the state, during the forth coming elections. Conclusively, they have this to say; "No Man Is Greater Than God!"
