ATTENTION: IBOM TELEGRAPH

My attention has been drawn to an illintentioned, malicious and a misleading falsehood concocted and spread by paid propagandists with the intent to blackmail, malign and assassinate the person and office of my dear boss, the Executive Chairman of Udung-Uko Local Government Area, Hon. (Elder) Okon Esin Oku.

Recall that IBOM TELEGRAPH had in the online edition of Friday, September, 28th 2018, published an unsubstantiated claim titled, "2019: Isobara betrays Udom, pledges allegiance to Akpabio in open".
And paragraph 5 of the said article alleged thus, "others suspected to be in the same motive as Isobara are the Chairmen of Ikot Ekpene, Mbo and Udung-Uko".

Whereas, I am particularly disappointed at the unprofessional script of the editor, I am also not at all surprised at the lies spewed against my boss as the article only succeeded in exposing the editor as one who specializes in the politics of  mudslinging.
Take note that my boss, Hon. Oku, is a man of unparalleled principle and integrity. Hence, he cannot betray the confidence and trust of his people. It is therefore absurd, ludicrous and unreasonable to think and believe that a Council's helmsman who in addition to enjoying a cordial, rewarding and a hitch free relationship with his boss, His Excellency, the Governor & Leader of the party in the State and who also enjoys the full control of the resources (financial, material & human) of his local government could ever contemplate deserting his party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Therefore, the allegation levelled against my boss which is aimed at scoring a political goal is not only mischievous but, ridiculous and laughable. Consequently, I hereby enjoin members of our great party, the PDP and the general public to please, discountenance the purported romance of my boss with the APC.

Bassey Eduno
For: Executive Chairman,
Udung-Uko Local Government Area.
