PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC PARTY STUDENTS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (PDPSAN) DECLARES SUPPORT FOR THE RE-ELECTION OF GOV. UDOM G. EMMANUEL COME 2019

THE State Working Committee (SWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party Students Association of Nigeria PDPSAN, on the 9th of September 2018 during an enlarged Exco meeting has announced its resolve to support the re-election of Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state in 2019 following his outstanding performance in the last three years in office.

People's Democratic Party Students Association of Nigeria PDPSAN State Coordinator, Miss Kpeime Thomas described Governor Udom Emmanuel as one of the best governors of the PDP and Nigeria in general.
Also in the meeting was the publicity secretary PDP FAN CLUB Akwa Ibom State chapter,in person of Mr. Emmanuel Ikpe who in his speech said, he was pleased to identify with Peoples Democratic Party Students Association PDPSAN for their effort so far in promoting PDP as a party at the grassroot and at the student community. He encouraged the involvement of students into politics, he further narrated how early in his days as a student, even as a year one(1) student joined political rallies which exposed him to experience in political affairs. He advised that Peoples Democratic Party Students Association PDPSAN should continue to support the government of Mr Udom Emmanuel to succeed come 2019 for the interest and future of Akwa Ibom people.

Also present in the meeting was the National coordinator PDPSAN Mr. Emmanuel Udombon who thanked Mr. Emmanuel Ikpe for honoring the invitation to the meeting even on short notice, and his kind words of encouragement, and also thanked Mr. Emmanuel Ikpe who promised to work with Peoples Democratic Party Students Association PDPSAN to the actualization of the DIVINE MANDATE Dream of our Governor Mr. Udom G. Emmanuel come 2019.

Miss Theresa Nde, a one time University of Uyo SUG presidential aspirant, who was present in the meeting reaffirmed that she is a PDP faithful as far as she is concern, according to her "PDP is a personal decision for her" she further stressed that the student community is divided hence the need for Government to come in and support the Peoples Democratic Party Students Association PDPSAN to unite the students, also seeking ways to harmonize interests in conjunction with student leaders to achieve this.

She maintained that the University of Uyo for example which has 3 polling units must be won for PDP come 2019 and beyond, and we can only achieve it through togetherness amongst the student leaders.

She expressed confidence that Peoples Democratic Party Students Association PDPSAN is a very good and formidable platform to build our capacity and capacity to deliver PDP at polls.

Comrade Ekomobong Udoh Assistant protocol Peoples Democratic Party Students Association PDPSAN Akwa Ibom State, emphasized the need for the group to step up it's game and spread it's tentacles both in publicity and other activities.

He asserted that even opposition parties in the state and country recognise the fact that HE (Governor Emmanuel) has proven the capacity to perform and develop the state.

The National Coordinator Peoples Democratic Party Students Association PDPSAN Mr. Emmanuel Udombon expressed optimism that the party would come out victorious in the forthcoming general elections in 2019, noting that the exercise would be a departure from previous elections conducted in the country.

He called for neutrality on the part of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies, stressing, “We want to make Nigerians know that we are coasting for victory, we want Nigerians to come out and vote and we want INEC and security agencies to be neutral. If they don’t, we believe that the international communities are watching closely what is happening in Nigeria.
Also present at the meeting were senior stakeholders in the student community including the National President of English and Literary Studies (NASELS), Senator Ekpeita Edet of the Tusker Senate among others.
