Nigeria: Two Ex Ministers Confess to N1bn Election Bribe, Implicate Ex Governor
Mr. Musa Sada
A former Minister of Mines and Steel, Musa Sada, and an ex Minister of
State for Agriculture, Asabe Asmau Ahmed, have admitted to the EFCC that
they collected a total of N1.1bn for election bribes in 2015.
Mr. Sada is one of the former ministers in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. He said he was authorised by a former governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, to collect N700million on behalf of Katsina State and remit it to the state’sformerCommissioner of Finance, who was asked to keep the money for the governor.

On the other hand Mrs. Ahmed, from Niger State, revealed how she
personally signed and collected N450million. She stated that she kept
N105millionfor herselfand transferred the balance to top Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, party officials in Niger State.
