HON. ASUKWO ARCHIBONG, THE PEOPLE'S REPRESENTATIVE.

Hon. Asukwo Archibong, is the strongman of Urue-Offong/Oruko Politics. He's a fine gentleman, a grassroots politician and one who's constantly in touch with his constituents.

He's my personality of the week.

Guess why?

Himself and Hon. Effiong Bassey, of Oron/Udung-Uko State Constituency stood on the side of the people when it mattered most. Along with 8 others, they distanced themselves from the suspension of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTONOMY by the leadership of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (AKHA).

And why shouldn't we celebrate these fine gentlemen who in protest voted against self, the HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY AUTONOMY? Their position was predicated on the fact that, "what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander". Hence, if the House of Assembly must have Financial Autonomy, then, the Third Tier of Government, must have theirs too.

Informed by his genuine and sincere resolve to end the years of blackout in, Elei and Mbokpu Eyo-Ima Communities, the Hon. MP, Asukwo Archibong, as part of his Constituency Development Projects ensured the COMPLETE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION of these two communities.
This can only come from a man understands the pains of his people.

And relatively recently, he had:
*Assisted 50 final year students from institutions of higher learning with project aid.
*Provided 50 JAMB FORMS for his constituents seeking admission into higher institutions.
*Released a mouth-watering cash gifts to 150 market women to boost their businesses.

*Provided 300 bags of cement for a loyal constituent to start up a business.
*Secured TOTAL OIL schoolarship for 5 students of the area.
*Provided 100 crates of mixed drinks for another loyal constituent to start up a business.

In terms of his legislative and oversight responsibilities, our Hon. MP, is doing his utmost and as I write, his ... briefing/mega empowerment is 95% loading.

May you live long, my Hon. MP.

Bassey-Babros Eduno
